Emily & Derek Tie the Knot

Today we had the pleasure of attending the marriage and reception of Emily and Derek. The marriage was at the Orlando Florida Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints followed by the reception at the Suntree Country Club. We got to try some new shooting situations, including a sparkler send-off! By the end of it, we had so many good pictures that we didn't know what to do with them all. Here are some of our favorites.

Caribbean Cruising - Ocho Rios

Our last island stop was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. This was easily our favorite place simply because we had the most fun. We climbed Dunns River Falls, a waterfall that runs into the ocean. They walk you down to the base at the beach and then climb all the way up through the water. It was great fun, followed by a tour of the Blue Mountains, which give quite the view. It was a very nice end to our cruise. Here are our photos.

Caribbean Cruising - Grand Cayman

Well, today we went to the lovely island of Grand Cayman in the British Cayman Islands. This was so much like going to a beach city in the United States. Everything was very well developed for being such a small island (only 22 miles long). We took a tour around the whole island and made sure to make a stop in Hell.
Sadly, we had planned on spending our whole day in the water, so only brought our water proof camera and the vivitar ultra wide and slim, but we still got some nice shots. It's hard to get bad pictures from such a beautiful place.

Caribbean Cruising - Cozumel

Well, we set off on our honeymoon cruise of the Caribbean on April 19th. We drove down to the Port of Miami to board the Carnival Triumph :) Our first stop along the way was Cozumel, Mexico today. Sadly, most of what Justin remembers of Cozumel from a previous cruise he took here no longer exists due to the damage left by hurricanes of late. But, here were some of the shots we got.

Go STS-119!

Today was the launch of the Shuttle Discovery, mission STS-119 at Kennedy Space Center. Being that Justin works there, he got this shot of the shuttle on the pad a few days ago.

And here are some of the shots from today's launch.

Hansom Hensley Pierce

Today we had a portrait session with 6 month old Hensley Pierce and his mom Jennifer. We had quite a fun day (Hensley certainly seemed to think so) :) Hensley was our first official baby portrait session and the results were very encouraging. We hope we captured his true happy personality for Jennifer to remember.
How great is it to get to play with a happy baby :)

Best Wishes to Mary & Michael

Today, I was lucky enough to be asked to shoot the wedding of Mary & Michael. It was held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in north Merritt Island, which was a lovely chapel to have the ceremony in. Just as a little history on it, the building was built in 1886, making it the second oldest building in Merritt Island. After a lovely ceremony, we went over tot he parish hall for the reception. It was a tight knit family group and everyone had a great time.
We wish Mary and Michael all the best and hope they enjoy the memories we have preserved for them.
