Today we had a great time at the faculty of New Venture Church taking individual shots for their website. This was one fun loving group of people, let me tell you, and I think the photos really reflect their personalities. What do you think?
Yay! Thanks to our previous customers for giving us reviews on WeddingWire.com! Now we officially have enough reviews to say we are "Wedding Wire Rated".
We hope to keep making our customers as happy as the past customers say they are!
This 4th of July, we went out to help Jesse & Sarah. Jesse is in the army and he could only get certain days of leave time to get married, so they tied the not on December 27th, 2008 in Missouri with Sarah's family present. This left no time for them to do anything with their friends in Florida, where they both met, or to have any formal pictures taken. So, we took care of that today. Now they can have their pictures before Jesse is sent to Korea for one year. We had lots of fun with these two just wandering around and getting a glimpse of their love for each other. Here are some of our favorites.
This weekend, Shimer Photography made a trip up to Tallahassee to visit 6 week old Sophie Annas (born May 20th, 2009) and take a few pictures of her. She was a very cooperative client - once she was asleep. We had a lot of fun making a weekend out of it, playing with the baby and hanging out with her parents, Carlos and Katrina. We were really pleased with the results and we hope mom and dad will be too! Here are some of our favorites.
Yes, today we went on a slightly belated birthday trip to St. Augustine, FL. This is America's oldest city. It was settled by the Spanish in 1565 and has been thriving ever since. It brought back nice memories as one of our previous trips lead to Megan being published :) (See our first blogs for info on that). We started off at the Castillo de San Marcos (the fort) and then made our way down St. George Street and around to Flagler College. It's a beautiful city and has so much history. How lucky we are to have it so close by. Here are some of our shots from our walking tour.
Say hello to our newest member of the Shimer Camera Collection: Oktomat! This little beauty is similar to one of our other cameras (the supersampler) except instead of 4 shots on one frame, the Oktomat takes 8 separate shots on one negative, giving you a way cool grid. You can also get a bit of a sense of movement in your shots. We are super excited to give this one a try, and we're so glad that Justin's parents got it for us while they were in a Russian market in New Hampshire (they obviously know us pretty well). Stay tuned for example shots!
