This weekend, we were asked to take pictures of the Day of Service for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The church organized this day of service to encourage citizens to give selflessly of themselves. Throughout Brevard County (and a bit further out even), members so of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints along with other members of the community participated in 14 different projects county wide.
The Cocoa and Titusville wards volunteered at the Titusville YMCA Outback Tennis Center. The Outback Center is a park full of tennis and racquetball courts. This is a very nice facility, but it certainly needed a little tender loving care. We completed projects such as fixing the roof, stripping carpet and painting in the locker room and office, planting trees, landscaping, laying mulch, and much more.
When we were asked to help out, we just couldn't forget all the clients we were put in contact with through the church. So, I dusted of the camera and came on out.
